wolski vodka: 7.9
Wolski Vodka is a Polish vodka produced by Torunskie Wodki Gatunkowe in Torun, Poland. It is distilled from potatoes, officially making it the first potato vodka I’ve reviewed here.
coolness: I bought this vodka for two reasons: it was an affordable potato vodka (I will discuss further below), and I loved the no-frills look of the bottle. It just looks like something you’d find in the back of your grandpa’s pantry, and I’m here for it. Admittedly, it’s not that cool, but it sticks out in a world of a thousand “gluten free” and “10x distilled” marketing ploys.
coolness: 7.1
cost: Wolski costs just over $20 for a handle, comparably priced with Luksusowa and Monopolowa (both well-regarded potato vodkas). Wolski is affordable in large quantities, which is awesome, but there are likely some really good vodkas out there for just a little less money.
cost: 6.8
flavor: The vodka doesn’t have any off smells after being poured into my glass, and I am pleasantly surprised on my first sip (straight up). Served chilled, it’s got a nice thick feel in the mouth, and it goes down easy. It’s very neutral, but it has a pleasant taste that I can’t quite describe. Bottom line: it’s incredibly inoffensive, which is great for a cocktail. I’d also say this is also a solid choice for a night of shots.
flavor: 8.9
burn: As with most any spirit, especially vodka, there’s going to be a harsh element to it when shot straight up. I’ve got to say, though, this is a very pleasant vodka to sip or shoot. I’m honestly shocked at how little burn there is going down. It’s not quite like water, but for stuff that will mess you up, it’s not too far off.
burn: 8.9
Wolski is good stuff! If the few extra dollars over a bottle of Luksusowa (some really good stuff) doesn’t mean much to you, then try this out! It may just replace a favorite of yours.

belvedere organic vodka: 4.4
Belvedere is a Polish vodka known to be a premium brand. It is distilled from Dankowskie rye – whatever that means. It is one of the more expensive vodkas I have reviewed here, at about $28 per 750ml.
coolness:
The bottle is definitely interesting, with a unique design showcasing barren trees framing the Polish presidential palace. Other than being a premium spirit, and being the official vodka of James Bond, there isn’t much going on here to make it “cool” to me.
coolness: 5.1
cost:
$28/750ml
For reference, Tito’s is currently sub $20/750ml. Simply put, this is very pricey. Not sure I’d buy it again, especially given the cost.
cost: 2.5
flavor:
This tastes the way nail polish smells. I’ve heard this is smooth, but man it kicked me. It’s almost sour – very hard to describe.
flavor: 2.1
burn:
Shockingly, with as bad as this tastes, it doesn’t burn too bad going down. I wouldn’t describe it as smooth, but there is no harsh burn pulling it down further.
burn: 7.9
I was super disappointed in Belvedere! Expensive and simply not good.
